Documents released by the Cleveland Division of Police confirm the details of a startling call for service at Sunbeam School on April 8, 2026.

The “Calls for Service” report (Case #2026-00101990) shows that at approximately 9:24 a.m., dispatch received a report of a suspected drug overdose at Sunbeam School, 11800 Mount Overlook Avenue. The incident was coded as involving six children who had reportedly overdosed on Viagra. Dispatch notes described the children as “unruly” and “violent.”
EMS units Medic 36 and Medic 41 were dispatched along with Cleveland Police. Multiple officers responded, including units from the 4th District.
Additional comments logged in the official record state:
“6 CHILDREN OD’ED ON VIAGRA”
“ANOTHER CALL FROM EMS STS PATIENTS ARE BEING VIOLENT AND UNRULY REQ CPD STEP IT UP”
“BOE DISP GAINES STS AN UNRULY ML STUDENT JUST ASSAULTED A PRINCIPAL”
Security had a juvenile in the main office, uncertain if connected to the overdose call.
The report notes that patients were treated at the scene by EMS and released to parents or guardians. One student reportedly assaulted the principal, according to information passed along from the Board of Education.
The bizarre details first surfaced publicly on April 8 when the verified NE Ohio Scanner account (@NEO_Scan) posted:
“CLE ~ Overdose – Sunbeam School – 11800 Mt Overlook – 6 kids o/d on Viagra, unruly, violent, need CPD to this location. #ThingsWeHear”
A follow-up post from the same account added that one of the children had assaulted the principal, per the Board of Education.
Local resident Polly Karr (@karr_pe) obtained the full police “Calls for Service” documents through a public records request and shared them on X today, proving the scanner report was accurate. The records match the location, date, time, and details exactly.
Sunbeam School is a Cleveland school serving local students. No additional information about the cause of the reported overdose, any criminal investigation, or long-term outcomes has been released by Cleveland Police or Cleveland Metropolitan School District officials as of this writing.
This incident is now documented in official city records and raises serious questions about student safety, medication access, and emergency response protocols at Cleveland schools.
