Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games

The Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games will make a historic stop in our city on June 11. This marks part of the first-ever coast-to-coast journey of the Flame of Hope, a powerful symbol of inclusion, unity, and the strength of the human spirit. Law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes will carry the torch side-by-side through Cleveland, shining a spotlight on the incredible abilities of athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Starting from Soldier Field in Chicago on May 29, the Flame of Hope travels approximately 10,000 miles across 13 states before reaching Minnesota for the Games (June 20-26). Cleveland’s stop on Route 2 (the East Coast and Great Lakes path) follows Pittsburgh and precedes Detroit, with local ceremonies where the community can cheer on the Guardians of the Flame. This event highlights the strong partnership between law enforcement and Special Olympics, raising awareness and funds while celebrating determination and acceptance. Mark your calendars and come out to support this inspiring moment in Cleveland! Follow the real-time route tracker and learn more at 2026specialolympicsusagames.org.

Whether you’re a fan, volunteer, or local business, this is a chance to stand with athletes who prove every day that inclusion belongs in every community. Let’s make Cleveland’s welcome unforgettable as the torch lights the way to the 2026 Games!
