Dante, Chef Dante Boccuzzi’s flagship restaurant in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood, has unveiled a stunning patio expansion that nearly doubles the restaurant’s seating capacity. The new 40-seat outdoor dining area features retractable awnings, heat lamps for shoulder-season comfort, and lush landscaping that creates an intimate European courtyard atmosphere just steps from bustling Professor Avenue.
The renovation, completed over the winter months, represents a $450,000 investment in the property and responds to overwhelming customer demand for outdoor dining options that surged during the pandemic and never subsided. “Clevelanders have embraced patio culture like never before,” Boccuzzi said. “We wanted to create a space that feels transported from Northern Italy while celebrating our Tremont neighborhood’s character.”
Coinciding with the patio opening, Dante has launched an ambitious spring menu featuring seven new house-made pasta dishes, including a squid ink campanelle with crab and Calabrian chile that’s already generating buzz on local food social media. The expanded kitchen includes a dedicated pasta-making station visible to diners. Reservations are now being accepted for the patio, which officially opens for the season on April 1st, weather permitting.
